Honestly I feel like russia is good if played very well maybe I would put them higher. I think lakota has pretty good match ups but more of the decisively bad match ups, I feel like they need 1 or 2 tweaks, quite a few matchups just feel messy and their design has some holes if you ask me.
Ottoman is a good civ with nice timings but compared to other dlc civs now they feel incredibly limited, I feel like you could say the same to a lot of the lower placed civs (maybe apart from aztecs after rework I don't really know about aztec now after patch). Usa are very good imo, strong defense with good timings and the cards and units are pretty amazing. I think spain is a pretty strong civ I think their timings it what make them so strong, very easy to go ff into huge skirmisher mass and overwhelm your opponent and early age 3 lancer timings are soo good or even ooga booga cannon ff still very good or fast age up timing with bishop and the spanish gold or even logi age up can be very nice. Germany and France just have better match ups overall in my opinion, they have that slight eco bonus but then also some of the best units in the game along with good age 3 cards. The only thing that's bad about Brits is that they don't match up well against Mayans.I think all the Asian dynasties civ's are pretty strong, the immensity in terms of scaling is pretty good.Īs much as I dislike playing against Dutch, i'm still convinced dutch isn't as good or as diverse as the african civs are even after the nerfs. They've also got the cheap TCs to get their boom going. The current meta on 1v1 Arabia is massed x-bows in Castle Age (CA's if Hun), which they're obviously good at with +1 range and fast archeries. This makes them a good drush, flush, scrush civ. No way Brits are the 6th best civilization.īrits are tied with Japanese for 2nd fastest civs after Mongols.

Instead of free loom they get +50 gold, so if they delayed loom they could make 7-8 militia for a drush and really go to town. Aztecs might still be seen as the best Arabia civ in Forgotten. Huns also lost some of their discount on CA's in Forgotten, while I don't think they nerfed Mayans at all. Aztecs got nerfed a little bit in Forgotten, so I'm not sure they'd still be #1 there. In the Conquerors, most pros see it as #1 Aztecs, #2 Mayans, #3 Huns on arabia. On Arabia, Mayans are probably the best civ.
